So, i’ve decided to give writing blogs ago. English wasn’t my strongest subject at school that’s for sure!
The business is nearly a year old now, we have grown so much over the last year, photographing two weddings, a christening, several horses , dogs, plus more exotic animals and some fabulous family shoots. I have started supporting a fabulous young boy and his pony, and I have another boy and his pony to join #teammountain. I will write more about them shortly.
Firstly, the two weddings i’ve done so far. Wow! That is all I can say. The first one was a lovely wedding at Healing Manor, Grimsby. It was the wedding of Laura and Damien. It was beautifully set up, and was a pleasure to capture their day. The second one, was at Louth Registry Office followed by a festival. This was the wedding of Kate and Andy. So many glorious camper vans, laughter, games and live music. The sun was shining. Again it was an absolute pleasure.
Many know I am also photographing horses for an equine calendar to raise money for Equine Grass Sickness Fund. I will write more on this on a later date when I have taken more images and chosen some for the months.
Now for the supported riders and their ponies!
Deven is an 8 year old boy with autism. His enthusiasm towards ponies and his pony is outstanding. He spends every spare minute he can down the stables, riding, watching competitions and learning about ponies. Deven is a member of South Wold Hunt South Pony Club, and attends regular stable management sessions, as well as taking his pony Aeron with him. He regularly attends dressage competitions and it working towards show jumping. His pony Aeron is 6 years old, and didn’t have the best upbringing, being a rescue pony. He is on loan from a lady called Hayleigh. With his mum Suzi’s permission, I am welcoming Deven into #teammountain with pride and I am looking forward to working with him and Aeron in the future.
Second is Rowan. Rowan is 12 years old and has been riding since he was 4. Rowan is a very keen rider having had a string of fabulous ponies throughout his riding life, he now rides his 14.2h Irish Sports Pony mare, Rose. He is a member of Belvoir Pony Club and competes on a regular basis on his other pony Shadow, with the plans to compete Rose towards the end of summer. Outside of competing, Rowan loves hacking with his mum and riding with his little brother, spending time with the ponies and helping with all the horsey chores! With his mum Sara’s permission, again it is a great honour to have him on #teammountain and I am looking forward to working with them.
My ponies are doing ok too! I had a photoshoot myself last Thursday to help promote myself and my business. Ruby looked amazing if I say so myself. Marshall is learning to have his feet picked up, and we’re started to progress to a slight lift and put back down again. slow and steady with this boy as we have all the time in the world.
Hope to speak to you all soon
